The week's SOW is a site I've used to follow all the truths, half-truths, and out right lies coming out of Washington over the past few months. The site essentially calls Obama's bluff when he uttered the phrase, "I want you to hold our government accountable. I want you to hold me accountable." Politifact promises to do just that.
The site's so called "Obameter" lists all of the campaign promises made over the past year, weighs each one against the proposal sitting in Congress (if there is one), and then places the result in the appropriate bucket listed below. The other great thing about this site is that it provides context to the debate by grading the talking points coming out of Washington. This way, no matter which side of the proverbial aisle you sit, you can at least acknowledge the merits of the opposition's arguments as well as realize that many of the memes we so often repeat are in fact (at best) partial distortions of the truth.
